Hot out??

OH this makes me giggle every time I see it. I remember it from last year then I just got it in an email today ---- I giggle outloud...just too cute!

I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOOK AT ME GO! LOL Alan bought me a wakeboard, I had mentioned that maybe I'd like to learn some day when my rib heals...and that the board that works for me would probably work for Jackson as well. The next day after I mentioned it...he ordered one! LOL We got it last night and I was excited to try...although this rib isn't quite right. I got up on the first try...and we've discovered I'm a "goofy foot". LOL In wakeboarding terms that means right foot in the front! I read on how to decide...kinda funny they said "stand up, close your eyes and have someone gently push you from behind...the leg you step out with first is your front leg. OR What leg do you start with when putting on pants?? Right or Left? That also should be your front leg." Mine was the right. Alan wakeboards "regular foot" which is left front. I had him test the theories and it was correct! So --- Alan put on my bindings with right foot front. I popped right up out of the water and made it around until I tried to do funny stuff! LOL We thought maybe I should try 'regular foot" just to see if it was better. Alan switched out my bindings (good job remembering to bring the drill babe!) and out I went...I was able to get up again but oh lordy it felt really awkward! LOL --- so back in the boat, Alan to the rescue to switch it back! LOL OOPS...oh well, now we know. I was able to cut across both sides of the wake and Alan giggled..."look at you getting all gutsy" when I was trying other board tricks I remember him doing! LOL Then my hands were about to fall off so I knew I was done soon...and decided I'd try and jump the wake ...NOPE that didn't work out...LOL BUT it was a ton of fun tyring. Ribs are a bit sore but not too bad. I hope the rain gets all done today so I can go again tonight. UT OH, I think Alan may have created a monster! LOL Give me a little time, I'll be doing 360's and flips! LOL

Catfish or Sharks????

Had a great weekend! Friday night went to our friend Norma's for a party --- then went to Dad and Deb's that night so we could see the crazy insane swarming catfish! Oh my...they looked like sharks in the ocean getting ready to attack! Their dock light works awesome! They started throwing out cheap dog food at night and watching the "show"...25-50 catfish at a time...and big ones! It is just insane to watch. We tried it at our place and nothing happened! LOL Our light attracts the crappy white perch is all...but thousands of them! So it's still crazy to see I guess.

Jenny and Maddy were at there too so we stayed the night and got to spend time with them on Saturday. Making salsa, snapping beans, and boat rides! LOL Alan and I had a party Saturday night at some friends...then Travis was having a party so went there for a couple hours. Sunday Alan and I got the boat all spiffed up, took the kids skiing and then rested a bit. Went to Travis' to hang by the pool then to Ang and Clint's for a DELICIOUS supper with the Schramm Fam and the Petersen's. Always fun seeing them all and playing with the kids. Food was amazing too. Alan got his fill of steak that's for sure! We should have taken a picture of them...OMG HUGE! Thanks Schramm Fam for inviting us! ;-)

Jack and Lexi learn to ski!

Lexi getting back in the boat after a few attempts...now Jack's turn again!

Jackson the little man...up on ski's! WHOO HOO

Lexi Lou got up on her 3rd try!!!!

Uncle Al and Lexi chillin' in the boat!

What a fun Sunday afternoon! Travis, Lisa, Jack, and Lexi came out for a couple hours Sunday so the kids could learn to ski. Alan decided on Friday that it was time for Jackson to learn (considering he's 7 and when Alan and Trav were 7 they were slaloming! LOL)...but I knew once Lexi saw Jack doing it she'd want in on the action...and yep I was right! Alan had found a set up kids training ski's at a garage sale last year...they worked great. It was so much fun seeing those little kids on ski's! They both got up and stayed up for about 15 seconds! LOL But so proud of them for their first times. Lexi did it first...and prior to that Jack has said he was done for the day...but once seeing Lexi (5 yrs old) up on ski's he decided he'd try again! LOL Then when he didn't do it right away Lexi went to the back of the boat and said "Jack...Jack...you want me to get in the water and show you what to do? I can help you since I know how." OMG I laughed so hard...she was the first to get up so she was now the pro! I am sure she'll torment him for many years that she got up on waterski's before him!

Johnson Lake

Captain Sugarpants!

My very first Walleye ever...yep...a 3 incher!

Sugarbear was a good puppy the whole weekend!

And OF COURSE...Alan caught the only keeper...23" Walleye...it was fun watching him reel it in, and I got to net it...I didn't knock it off the lure or anything! LOL

Peace out but right by the pole, don't wanna miss catching a fish!

Big morning yawns after her first night sleeping in a BED! Yep that's right...I am pretty sure Sugar would rather camp than be at home cause she got her own Full Size Bed! LOL it was comical to see her enjoying it all sprawled out!

Again...passed out under the steering wheel --- laying by her water bowl!

And the sexy driver! Getting all tanned up!

What a great weekend at Johnson Lake. Alan, Sugar, and I met some friends for a weekend of fishing! Sugar did so awesome on the boat...she would sleep then when we'd catch something she'd be right there ready to nibble on it's tail! LOL We caught a lot of fish...but only one keeper. Tons of White Bass, Drum, and 12" walleye, and even some Northern. I got to learn a whole new way of fishing and by Sunday I had it down pat! LOL baiting hooks, setting hooks, managing 4 poles at once...just call me a pro...look for my Fishing Show to start on a cable network near you! LOL

Project Larsen...

I am so excited! Mom and Don are doing a little mini "face-lift" on their home in Hawaiian Village. A fresh coat of COLOR...with new paint inside, and also new living room and kitchen furniture. I got to throw in my 2 cents and I think we found some good paint options as a starting point! I have been searching for ideas and am having a great time finding fun pieces for their space! It will feel so nice for them to come home to a little something new and uplifting! Can't wait to see it all come together! And can't wait to help them create something they love! Whoo hooo let the fun begin!

What a little dolly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look at the little princess!!!! My god-daughter Alayna Jane...aka Layna...aka Poops...aka Little Miss! You may have heard me call her one of her many names! LOL Angela's (her mommy) brother got married in Texas over the weekend...Alayna stole the show! CAN YOU BLAME HER? Angela is an amazing photographer and took these photos of her during the weekend. I just thought they were too adorable not to share! I cannot wait until Alayna and Maddy get to meet and play! They will have so much fun together and I soooo want pics of them both, just think it will be adorable!

Celebrating Dad turning 60!

Dad and his bass!
Grammie with her big bass! I am gonna make this into her Christmas card!

Oh the Madster...Loving Sugarpants!

Debbie and her big bass! I wonder if the same bass just goes from one side of the dock to the other and all of them caught the same one! LOL

The sleepy Sugarpants! Sooo much ball and swimming!

The large catfish that was on the line when Deb went to check it at midnight! Everyone else was asleep and we couldn't see barely anything...it swallowed the hook really deep so we didn't want to mess with getting it out. Left it on the line for Dad and Alan to reel in the next morning! It was fun for Deb to catch then a double dose of fun for Dad! LOL
Had a nice relaxing weekend celebrating Dad's 60th Birthday! They are enjoying their new house!

We Welcome Fisher Matthew Petersen

Our good friends Andie and Tim have new baby Fisher Matthew to love every day! He is so cuddly and the sweetest baby. You can hold him for hours and time just slips by. We call him Lil' Fish (Uncle Alan decided that). Angela took these pictures (www.laynajanephotography.com) she is so talented! Can't wait until we get our family photo session this summer! Congratulations to Andie, Tim and baby Fisher. Although I know his mommy and daddy will spoil him enough, I can't wait to as well. Love you all!

One of my FAV's...

This is one of my favorite pictures of Ang and Poops (aka Alayna). I love how Alayna is copying Angela's facial expression. What a gorgeous mommy and daughter!

Hilarious Sleeper...

SERIOUSLY...Sugar is hilarious. Alan just sent me this picture of her sleeping in her kennel at the office. She is peace out...LOL doesn't look one bit comfortable! Oh I just love her. Thanks Alan for sharing! Made my day!!! Love you both bunches!

All ready for fishin'

So my Dad got this hilarious idea that he wanted to send a picture of him all "ready to fish" to his buddy Tanner in Norfolk (a prior co-worker). Dad was laughing so hard before the picture even started I had no idea what he had in mind. Then he comes out with his tackle box, my nephew's Sponge Bob Fishing Pole and the legs of his shorts hiked up ...still laughing hysterically. He posed and this is the picture he had imagined. OMG we laughed and laughed until all of us were crying. I text the picture to Tanner and I am pretty sure he did the same! HYSTERICAL!

Sugar meets a Horse...

Pretty girl with alien fire eyeballs...LOL

Oliver from behind...ummm like I said he is a horse!

Sugar and Oliver where playing a little poke and tickle!

He is a gentle giant!

They were all tuckered out.... look how LONG Oliver is...GEEZ

Standing at the door to come back in and play...even though they had a huge yard outside!

Last night my cute little preggers friend Darcy asked a few girls over. They just bought a house...let me just say it is a house fit for Oliver! As you can see by the pictures...Oliver (aka Horse) is 185 pounds of pure love! He is adorable and well...HUGE! The house has tall ceilings, many many rooms to play in and an enormous living room and kitchen. Oliver and the two kitties are loving their new digs! Darcy made taco turnovers (YUM) basically seasoned taco meat and cheese stuffed in the middle of rolled biscuit dough and folded then baked...just plain goodness if you ask me! Gina brought some yummy guacamole with chips and spanish rice which rounded off our dinner well...I brought Blue Moon (for Gina and I ...not my pregnant friend silly!) and Sopapilla's from Elbee's. I called and asked if I could buy them frozen and bake at home...they said "I don't know why not...LOL" So 500 degrees for about 4-5 minutes and we had fluffy airy triangles of sweetness...then pour honey and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over the top while warm and BAM you have sopapilla deciciousness! Sugar and Oliver were besties after the first 2 minutes of some butt sniffing. They were adorable, he is a gentle giant if I ever saw one! Thanks Darcy for inviting us over and for making us feel so comfortable.
