Last week in the Ozarks

There are about 70 steps going down to the lake!!! Barbie said I looked like a Vegas Dancer with all that on my back!!! LOL

We had a really nice and relaxing trip to the Ozarks last week. Stacy, Julia, Barb and I went. We shopped on Tuesday at the AMAZING outlet mall in Osage Beach (it was rainy and overcast that day so it worked out good). Wednesday we hung out in the lake and baked in the sun! We were able to hang out a little on Thursday morning then headed home! Great trip with the ladies from work!

Passport to the Cure...A night in Miami

The American Cancer Society event was awesome last Friday night. 5 of us were body painted and stood as live art at the event. Starting at the left...Blood/Bone Cancer, Skin Cancer, Ovarian Cancer, Breast Cancer, and Lung Cancer. It was a great experience and I hope to be able to do it again next year!

I'll miss you baby girl!

The little Sugarpants had such a busy weekend! Grandpa Russ was out of town so we got to spend a lot of time with Nakoma (his 11 mo old lab). Sugar and Nakoma run and wrestle and play for hours! They love each other (well Sugar loves Nakoma...Nakoma "tolerates" Sugar). We used Grandpa's Gater (what Sugar is standing on in the pic above) all weekend to tote dogs back and forth so it was sure fun. Big girl was soooo sleepy by Sunday night that I had to wake her up this morning at 7am!
I am headed to the Ozarks with some girls from work for a few days of relaxing at the lake. Staying at a friends house and plan to just lay out and shop the outlet malls! Should be a great time. I get back late Thursday night. I am sure going to miss my little Sugarpants and her daddy!! I know they will have quite the bonding experience while I am away...just am going to miss them so much...and for some reason I don't see him singing the "Super Freak Morning Song" to her LOL! I will be sure to post pictures from the week when I return.

Wendy's Visit!

My friend Wendy came to Omaha for a visit (from Phoenix). Under unfortunate circumstances, as 2 of her aunts were undergoing surgery for cancer. Very sad, but we are praying for them all. We went to LaMesa for some food and drinks...then over to Leann's house to see her kids. Brooke is the beautiful curly haired blonde and her little baby sister Mara is just such a great baby! Great to see everyone!

The roof is going up!

Friday Alan rented a crane from 9am - 9pm and they got the roof up! He worked with them all day it is looking amazing! Can't believe how fast it is going up. Shingles are getting ordered today --- it is moving right along and will be done in no time!

This Saturday we celebrated Kori and Phil's 4th Anniversary. They rented the VIP limo bus that took us on a boose cruise to the Anchor Inn! It was a blast. The ride there is always a bit calmer then the ride home! Thanks Kori and Phil for fun time...and Congratulations on 4 years!
